Hi Syedsarwar,

Thanks for reaching out about your AnKing deck issues. Based on your description, there are a few things happening that are common when updating from an older version of the AnKing deck to a newer one via AnkiHub.

The Issue with Tags

The doubling of tags (having both 19_Renal and 21_Renal) is likely because the AnKing team reorganized their tagging system between versions. This is normal when updating from an older version to a newer one. The newer version (21_Renal) contains the most updated content, while the older tags (19_Renal) contain the cards from your previous version.

Missing Cards

There are a few possible reasons for your missing cards:

  1. Updating from V11 to V12: When updating from an older version to V12 via AnkiHub, your cards get updated in their existing location rather than creating a completely new deck. The system matches cards based on note IDs.

  2. Destination for New Cards: AnkiHub requires a destination setting for new cards. If this isn’t set properly, new cards might not appear where you expect them to be.

  3. Card vs Note Counts: What might look like missing cards could be a misunderstanding between note counts and card counts. AnKi differentiates between notes (content) and cards (individual flashcards).

Steps to Fix:

  1. Check for a second AnKing deck: You might have two AnKing decks if AnkiHub created a new one without a proper destination set.

  2. Move your cards to a new deck:

    • Create a new deck (name it something like “AnKing Step Deck V12”)
    • Go to Browse → Note Types → Find “AnKing Overhaul”
    • Highlight all cards → Right-click → Change deck
    • Move them to your new deck
  3. Set a destination for new cards:

    • In the AnkiHub add-on, go to Deck Management
    • Select the AnKing Overhaul Deck
    • Click “Change destination for new cards” and set it to your new deck
  4. Reset local changes (if needed):

    • Go to Browse → AnkiHub add-on tab
    • Click “Reset all local changes”

This should help restore your cards and organize them properly. Your sync issues may be related to these same configuration problems.

Let me know if you need more specific help with any of these steps!
