No high yield tags in my anking deck

I do not have any high yield tags installed with my anking deck. I tried deleting and re-installing from ankihub and this did not help. I also tried searching for the tag and no cards appear.

I’ll help you with the issue of missing high yield tags in your AnKing deck. Let me search for some relevant information that might help solve this problem.

Reading: High yield tags

Hello @thebee10021,

Thank you for reaching out about the high yield tags in your AnKing deck. Based on the information in our community, I can help clarify this situation.

Why You Don’t See High Yield Tags

The high yield (HY) tags are a feature of the AnKing Step Deck, but it appears there might be a few reasons why you don’t see them:

  1. Partial Implementation: According to this discussion, the high yield tag project was previously being completed. While it was marked as completed at the time of that post, it’s possible that:

    • The tags might not be fully implemented across all sections of the deck
    • You might need to specifically sync/update to receive these tags
  2. Syncing Issues: Sometimes when reinstalling from AnkiHub, certain tag structures may not properly sync if there are conflicts with your previous installation.

What You Can Try

Here are some steps that might help:

  1. Check AnkiHub Updates: Make sure you have the most recent version of the AnKing deck from AnkiHub. Sometimes there are updates specifically for tag structures.

  2. Browser Search: In the Anki browser, try searching for tags that include “HY” or “HighYield” (without spaces) as sometimes the specific tag format might be different than what you’re searching for.

  3. Check the Tag Browser: In Anki’s main window, click on “Browse” and then look at the tag hierarchy in the left sidebar to see if the high yield tags appear anywhere in the structure.

  4. Sync AnkiHub Profiles: Ensure your AnkiHub profile is properly synced and that you’ve allowed it to update all tags.

If you’re still having trouble after trying these steps, could you please provide more details about:

  • Which specific AnKing deck version you’re using
  • What specific section(s) you’re expecting to see high yield tags in

For more information about tags in the AnKing Step Deck, you can also check this wiki post that explains the tagging system in detail.

I tried all that you suggested and the tag is not installed. I have the Anking Step Deck Version 12. THis is newly installed from ankihub and should be up to date

Hello,

Try resetting local changes. This should bring the tags back if they are missing: How to Reset Local Changes

The High Yield tag should be under the #AK_Step1_v12 > ^Other tags.

If they are not there, please send me a screenshot of your ^Other tag so we can figure out what’s happening!

I wonder if we should move the high yield tags to be under the step 1 tag directly so

#AK_Step1_v12::#HighYield

Cuz tbh I also sometimes struggle to find these tags:rofl:

Hi there. I’m also having the same problem I tried resetting local changes but it’s not working. This problem suddenly occurred yesterday afternoon. Up until yesterday morning the high yield tags were visible, but suddenly they disappeared after I preformed a sync. Please help !

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

I do seem to see the tag/s present in your collection. Have you double-checked here, just to make sure I’m on the same page?

I have sort of the same problem. I do have the tag but when I unsuspend the questions they are not showing up in the deck.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

Just to make sure: you’re having a different problem, yeah? I do see from the image you shared that it appears that you do have the high-yield tags in your deck and seem to have been able to find them.

Just to make sure I’m on the same page so I know how best to be of help. :mending_heart:

Just to make sure: do you mean unsuspending the cards? Or something else?

I can’t tell from the image you shared, though just on a hunch the likeliest cause is deck settings, either of the parent deck, subdecks, or presets (or some combination thereof). I would start here: How to Get Started Studying

Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.

Hey Brian!!! Yes. I can see low yield cards when I unsuspend them and the other tags except for the high yield one. The image attached shows how the relative high yield works.

Gotcha, did you have a chance to look at the tutorial linked above?

I do see that you now seem to have 100 cards to study, which looks like the cards are coming up for review. Are you all squared away or is there anything else I can help with?

I did. The problem is that the High yield tag cards are not showing up, all the others are. I still have the issue.

Hello,

Could you share a screenshot of what happens when you select all the cards with the “1-HighYield” tag and unsuspend them?

Also, could you clarify in what way the cards aren’t showing up? If you unsuspended them along with other tags, it is possible they just aren’t the first ones to appear in your reviews.

The tags do appear to be coming up, from the image you shared. They are visible here:

Perhaps there is something else you’re describing, though?

From what I can see of what you’ve shared, the tags are indeed visible and you do seem to have (at least) 100 new cards up for study. It may be worth noting, though, that if you unsuspended a large number of cards you will likely have quite a backlog in new cards and so, with only 100 up for review, the rest are likely contained in that backlog.

If you want only the high-yield cards to show up, you will want to make sure that only the high-yield cards are unsuspended (and that no other cards are unsuspended).

Hey Marcos! When I specifically unsuspend the “ High yield” tag, the cards are not showing up on the deck. It appears as 0 cards. But when I unsuspend “lowyield” “relative high yield”, etc, those cards do appear once I am trying to study the deck.

You might double-check your cards:

It shows here that the cards have a due date of 02-25-2026 so they will not show up on the main page as they are not currently due. The cards are functioning fine, they just have a due date in the future for whatever reason/s

Not knowing much about your local collection or history I can’t say why they are due then, only that it is normal for them not to show up today if they are due in the future.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.
