One-click button for "Protect a field"

The current process to make a change to a single note that you don’t want to upload to the main deck is a bit cumbersome imo. When I make a personal change, I need to open Browse, right click and navigate to “Ankihub: Protect Fields” and then select the fields that I edited.

I’d like to request a simple one-click button that adds the Protect tag for the relevant field from the Edit Current and Browse screens. Similar to how the Toggle Sticky thumbtack works when adding new cards. See the mockup below:

Or if there is a more efficient method that I am missing please enlighten me! Thank you.

I got annoyed with having to manually add tags to protect the “Text” and “Extra” fields, so I made an add-on that automatically adds these tags whenever you change either field.

If the AnkiHub team finds it useful enough, then please feel free to copy it, modify it, expand upon it, etc.; I think it would be a great built-in feature for the AnkiHub add-on.

Functionally, I think it makes sense to auto-protect fields that are modified by the user, because at least I personally haven’t ever modified a card without also intending the change to be permanent. Perhaps there is something I’m missing, though, so please share any thoughts or opinions!
