This is actually normal behavior with AnkiHub. The Smart Search feature is part of AnkiHub Premium and works by searching through the content of cards in the AnkiHub database. When you see a card ID in Smart Search results, it’s referencing AnkiHub’s internal ID system for cards, which is different from the ID Anki assigns to cards in your local collection.
When you download a deck like AnKing Step Deck to your local Anki, each card gets assigned a new local ID by Anki. This local ID will be different from the original AnkiHub ID shown in Smart Search results.
You can still use Smart Search effectively by focusing on the content matches rather than trying to match IDs between systems.
