Solution - Ankidroid:IO one-and-one with anki remote

Hi all,

Id imagine some of y’all use the IO one and one card format, but has been annoying to deal with when using the android format and having to click on the screen or next with a mouse.

I was looking at the controls section and eventually reached the end with no setting to allow me to unocclude one IO at a time…UNTIL I clicked on “Trigger Javascript” and tried something simple out.

I clicked on “user action 1” and add key “T”. ( If you guys didn’t know, pressing T on the keyboard will allow you to unocclude an IO in the order they were occluded)

After that, I set the “select” button on my anki remote to the same setting HOPING it’ll trigger the T magically (I have 0 knowledge of java, so I was hoping it would work…and to my surprise it worked.

All I did was:

  1. Click on Controls (settings), then scrolled all the way down to “user actions”
  2. Click user action 1
  3. Add button, press T
  4. Set a button on anki remote to same user action (select In my case)
  5. Viola. Now I press select and it removes one Occlusion at a time instead of manually clicking each occlusion or pressing next
