Hello,

I am wondering if I have messed up my protective field tags so that I no longer get any updates on any card for some sections. When I first switched over from V11 AnKing to V12, I added the “SAFE” tag to only my already unsuspended cards to protect my text and extra fields to protect the edits I had previously made while on V11. Then realizing that the extra section often gets new diagrams, I decided to start putting my notes into the lecture notes field instead for any new cards in V12 that I did so I added the tag “Lecture” to protect that field. But now looking at this page, it looks like both tags are assigned all three fields to protect which I do not want because I added the “Lecture” tag to the entire deck. Am I just overthinking this and it’s just “SAFE” for text and extra and “Lectire” for lecture notes separately or is everything combined? Because if both “SAFE” and “Lecture” have been assigned to all three fields it means I have not been getting updates for months.

Hello,

Adding those tags will not protect the fields, you must use these tags: 🔐 Protecting Fields and Tags

Currently you are not receiving any updates because you have protected your text and extra field.

You can safely use the lecture notes field, we don’t update that, just make sure to keep it protected

Once you add the correct tags to text and extra (note they are case sensitive, they are outlined in the link I added above), then you can reset local changes to get all the new updates

To reset local changes, do the following:

Go to browse in your Anki → at the top click on the ankihub addon tab → press reset all local changes

This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields
