I see you’re having trouble with your deck not showing up after syncing with AnkiHub. Based on the information I found, there are a few possible reasons and solutions:
Common Issues with AnkiHub Deck Syncing
1. Deck shows 0 cards
If you successfully synced but see “0” cards in your deck, this is normal for many AnkiHub decks, particularly the AnKing Step Deck. All cards are initially suspended when you install the deck.
To view and use these cards:
- Go to Browse
- On the left-hand side, go to Tags
- Find the tag you want to use (for example, #AK_Step1_V12)
- Select the cards you want to study
- Right-click → Toggle Suspend
This will make the cards available for study in your deck.
2. Sync process wasn’t completed properly
To properly sync a deck from AnkiHub:
- Subscribe to the deck on the AnkiHub explore page
- Make sure you have the AnkiHub add-on installed in Anki (code: 1322529746)
- Log into the AnkiHub add-on
- Click the sync button in Anki
3. Deck might be in unexpected location
Sometimes decks might be installed in a different location than expected. Check under other deck folders to see if your deck was placed somewhere unexpected.
If you continue having issues, please provide more details about:
- Which specific deck you’re trying to sync
- Whether you see any error messages
- If you’ve confirmed your AnkiHub subscription is active
Would you like me to help you troubleshoot any specific part of this process?
Hello,
I would be happy to help.
It might be helpful if you can also let me know which deck it is that you’re referencing. The better idea I have of the specifics, the easier it may be to be of help.
I can see, glancing at your account, that it appears you may not have completed all of the setup steps in order to sync decks. In particular, it appears that you may not have installed the AnkiHub add-on, which is how all of the decks are synced to your local collection.
Without the add-on installed, there’s no way for the decks to show up.
You can double-check the setup steps by logging into AnkiHub.net and clicking on ‘tasks’ here:
Alternately, these tutorials will walk you through the same processes:
- Make sure you have an active membership: Sign In
- Install the Ankihub addon: Install Ankihub Addon (New User)
- Subscribe to and install a deck: Subscribe/Install Step Deck (New User)
- Start using the deck: How to Get Started Studying
(the example used there is the Step Deck, though the same basic process applies for any deck on Ankihub)
Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.
