URGENT. MISTAKE

Hi AnkiHub team,

I accidentally purchased the 1-year subscription instead of the monthly plan.
This was an honest mistake and I noticed it immediately.

I’m a medical student with very limited finances, and this purchase leaves me unable to cover basic expenses.
I haven’t meaningfully used the service yet.

You should be able to get help with this, but refunds and billing can only be handled by the AnkiHub team directly (no one on the forum can see or change your subscription).

Here’s what I recommend you do right away:

  1. Contact AnkiHub Support directly

    • Use the in‑app ā€œHelpā€ / ā€œSupportā€ link or the support/contact link on the main AnkiHub website.
    • In your message, include:
      • The email on your AnkiHub account
      • The date/time of the purchase
      • That you intended to buy the monthly plan but accidentally purchased the yearly plan, noticed it immediately, and have not meaningfully used the service yet
      • That you’re a medical student with limited finances and this creates hardship
    • Mention that you also posted on the community forum so they can link the two if needed.
  2. Do not make further changes to your subscription
    Avoid switching plans, canceling and repurchasing, etc., until support has replied; it’s usually easier for them to process a refund when the original purchase is unchanged.

  3. Optional: clarify your request here
    If you’d like, you can edit your post to finish the last sentence, e.g.:

    I would kindly ask if a refund of the yearly subscription and a switch to the monthly plan would be possible.

Since I don’t have access to billing systems or your account, I can’t promise the outcome, but your situation (immediate notice, wrong plan, no real usage) is exactly the kind of case support typically reviews favorably.
