Thanks for the detailed steps and screenshotâthat helps narrow it down.
A couple of important clarifications about updating from v11 â v12 with AnkiHub:
You will not see a new âAnKing v12â deck name appear.
With AnkiHub, subscribing to the v12 deck updates your existing AnKing deck structure in place.
The deck names in your sidebar (AnKing â Step 1/Step 2, etc.) usually stay the same; the content (notes, fields, tags, card templates) is what gets updated to v12.
âCollection sync completeâ only refers to Anki â AnkiWeb, not AnkiHub.
The topâright sync button is for AnkiWeb, and it wonât change deck names.
AnkiHub syncing is controlled by the AnkiHub addâon; when it updates, you should see a small sync progress bar at the bottom of the Anki window and log messages about âApplying remote changesâ.
To confirm whether youâre actually on v12, please check these:
Check the note type version in a card
Open Anki â select a card from your AnKing deck â click CardsâŚ.
In the template or styling, look for any mention of v12 or updated fields (for example, newer AnKing fields/tags you know are v12âspecific, if youâve seen the changelog).
If you previously were on v11 and now see new fields/tags, that indicates the update went through even though deck names didnât change.
Force an AnkiHub sync from the addâon
In Anki, go to Tools â Add-ons â AnkiHub â Config or menu entry and look for a âSync Now / Pull changes / Check for updatesâ option (wording can vary slightly with versions).
Run that and watch the log/output; see if it reports applying updates for the AnKing deck.
Confirm the correct deck is linked in AnkiHub
In the AnkiHub addâon, open the Deck Manager / Subscriptions view.
Make sure your local âAnKingâ parent deck is actually linked to the AnKing v12 community deck (and not to the older v11 or another variant).
If itâs not linked correctly, unlink and reâlink the correct deck, then sync again.
If after that you still donât see any signs of v12 changes:
Please post back with:
A screenshot of your AnkiHub addâon âSubscriptions/Decksâ page in Anki (showing the AnKing v12 subscription and linked local deck).
A screenshot or copy of any AnkiHub log/output when you trigger a manual sync from the addâon.
With those, we can see whether this is 1) just a naming expectation issue, or 2) a real sync/linking problem with your v12 subscription.
