To make sure I understand correctly, could you please clarify which issue is still persisting? Is it the missing images, an error message, or both?
Could you also send us a few screenshots of the problems you are seeing? Your issue may not be related to the one the other user had in this thread, and I want to make sure we aren’t confusing two different problems. This will help us understand the situation better.
In the meantime, you can try updating the AnkiHub add-on by following these steps:
- Go to
Tools > Add-ons on your Anki main screen.
- Click on
Check for Updates.
- Restart Anki after the update is complete.
It is a images not showing issue. It is present in almost all cards.
Just to make sure: after updating the app have you tried resetting local changes again?
Just so I’m on the same page
One more thing, real quick:
Can you confirm for me your version of Anki:
Top menu bar - Anki - About Anki, and let me know the version number there.
Separately, also from your top menu bar: Tools - Add-ons - Check for Updates and let me know which, if any, add-on updates you have waiting?
And I have just updated my add-ons

Can you go to AnkiHub > Help > Upload logs and post the filename shown?
ankihub_addon_logs_yazooon_1753371900.log
this is what’s shown in “check media” section
urgent help needed plz
This is probably a known issue affecting some users. Can you try this workaround?
- Go to your Anki media folder. It’s
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Anki2\User 1\collection.media by default.
- Sort files by the Size column in Explorer.
- Do you see empty images (0 bytes)? Delete any such files.
- Sync with AnkiHub.

I did that and found like only 5 empty images, deleted them, and synced with AnkiHub.
The problem is still there.
Any other solution please?
If you search for the filename of a specific image that’s not showing on cards in the media folder, do you find it there? Check Media is not reporting many missing files, so the files should actually be there (probably corrupted).
How do I find the filename for an image and where do I search for it?
Using Windows Explorer’s search bar inside the media folder. Try searching for af765859992f31ad26d471a48f93ebac.png for example and let me know what you find.
Hi there, I am also having this issue loading images in the anking step deck. None of the first aid images are showing along with many others. I have tried some of these solutions and it still says I have 20,000 missing images.
Hello,
I would be happy to help.
A couple of things:
The ‘missing media’ function isn’t reliable, owing to a quirk between Anki and AnkiHub, unfortunately. So despite it listing a value there, essentially everyone has a non-zero value even if you’re not missing media
Separately, AnkiHub does not provide FirstAid media, as it is proprietary, so that media is not ‘missing’ per se as it’s not contained on AnkiHub at all. You can find a bit more information here: AnKing Step Deck Wiki
Separate from those, if you have images that aren’t displaying properly I’d be happy to help. The more context you can share the easier it may be to be of help. Screenshots are ideal, if you can, just so I can see what you’re seeing
Can you try installing this update from Tools > Add-ons > Install from File and let us know if it works? Gofile - Cloud Storage Made Simple
The site can’t be reached. Could you try sending an alternative link?
