I know this topic has already been discussed before and Iām sorry for reopening it, but Iāve went through all the solutions that have been suggested and none are solving my issue.
I understand how frustrating missing images can be! Based on the official AnkiHub documentation, here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve your issue:
Check these common solutions:
Verify media download status
Open the AnkiHub add-on menu
Check if media sync status says āIdleā (completed) or āDownloadingā (still in progress)
If downloading, wait until it completes (can take up to 60 minutes depending on your internet connection)
Confirm youāre subscribed to the correct deck
For AnKing decks, make sure youāre subscribed to the official version from AnKingMed
Check if AnkiHub provides media for those fields
For example, with the AnKing Step Deck, AnkiHub only provides images for specific fields: Text, Extra, Sketchy, and Pixorize
Images in other fields may not be supported
Reset local changes
Go to Browse
Click on the AnkiHub add-on at the top
Select āReset local changesā
Choose the deck with missing images
Check protected fields
Make sure your field protection settings are correct
Unprotected fields that AnkiHub doesnāt provide media for may result in missing images
Hi Brian,
thank you for your response.
Yes, I tried that but it did not fix the problem.
I also tagged all missing media and āreset local changesā, but it didnāt help.
In ācheck mediaā it still says media missing and in the ANkiHub tab - mediaSync: idle
When I click on the media/audio/pictures, nothing happens.
Oh yes, I think you did respond to my first thread. That issue was resolved. Thank you again for that.
Iām waiting for the email from Ankihub for the change of my email as we speak.
When I successfully changed my email address, should I redo the steps you mentioned in your first reply to this thread?
Iām afraid I canāt be of much help with decks sourced outside of AnkiHub. Thereās no telling the providence of that deck, or whatās going on with the media there
If you have any AnkiHub-related questions, though, happy to help as best I can.
It doesnāt, no. Confusingly enough, given the namesake, they donāt belong to each other.
AnkiWeb, and AnkiHub, are completely separate entities. Not directly related at all
Anki = the software.
AnkiWeb = Servers that belong to Anki.
AnkiHub = this service (I work for AnkiHub). Completely separate group that runs AnkiHub.net, which acts as a repository for various decks and collaboration tools.
The two coexist, and you might use both for various reasons, but they are not owned, or run, or managed by the same folks. Completely independent
From the image you shared, it looks like youāre using Anki version 2.1.57 which is a few years out of date. Youāll almost certainly want to update that
Youāll want to make sure that youāre on 25.02 (or higher). If itās any other version, youāll want to upgrade since older versions often run into little issues with add-ons.
You can always download the latest version of Anki at the official Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/
If i download the latest version from the link you provided, will my progress on the cards I have already studied be lost or itāll be the same progress I have right now?
If itās your first time doing this, the downloaded file will perform a new installation. However, if you already have Anki on your computer, it will simply update your existing application.
