Why is my deck missing images?

If you are missing media after subscribing to an AnkiHub deck, please check the following:

Has AnkiHub finished downloading media for the deck?

• At the top of your Anki → check to see if you have a little media sync icon, there once you click on it, you will be able to see the progress of the media sync)

2, 2. Does AnkiHub provide images for the fields your images are missing?

• For the AnKing Step Deck, AnkiHub downloads media for the following fields: Text, Extra, Sketchy, Sketchy 2, Physeo, and Pixorize.

Note: Some decks on AnkiHub do not have media sync enabled, that may explain why a downloaded deck does not contain any viewable media.

3. If you have unprotected fields that AnkiHub does not provide media for, this may result in missing images. See here for how to check your protected fields: * https://community.ankihub.net/t/how-to-manage-protected-fields/280704\*

If you have checked all the above and you still have missing images, try resetting local changes: Resetting Local Changes

Alternative Media Sync Status Check

Go to the AnkiHub addon and check what the media sync says.

• Idle = The media sync should be done
• Downloading = The media has not finished downloading, you will need to wait until it says idle until you can see media

Note: It may take up to 60 minutes for media to fully sync depending on your Internet connection. Please allow sufficient time after installation for media to sync.

Still have missing media?

If you still have missing media even after waiting for the media sync to finish, please try resetting local changes:

1. Go to Browse
2. At the top, click on the AnkiHub addon
3. Reset local changes
4. Select the AnKing deck

Why don’t the images appear on my mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android)?

Here’s how it works:

1. You download the media from AnkiHub to your computer.
2. Your computer needs to upload the media to AnkiWeb (Anki’s cloud service).
3. Your mobile device needs to download the media from AnkiWeb.

Uploading to and downloading from AnkiWeb can also take a few hours, but only the first time you do it. Just make sure to leave Anki open on your computer until everything finishes syncing, and do the same on your mobile device to download the media.
