Anking mcat cloze 1 error

I have deleted and redownloaded Anki along with unsubscribing and subscribing to asking again, however I cannot seem to view the cards on Anki. When I click the link on Anki it sends me to the correct card however on the actual application I just get this error on every card.

I’ll help you troubleshoot this issue with the AnKing MCAT cards. Let me search for similar topics in the community that might help resolve this problem.

Hi @julioalec123,

Welcome to the AnkiHub community! I see you’re having an issue with cloze deletions in the AnKing MCAT deck. The error you’re seeing - “No cloze 1 found on card” - indicates that the card is expecting to find a cloze deletion marked as {{c1::…}} but can’t find one.

This is a common issue that can happen after installing or updating certain decks. Here’s how to fix it:

Solution: Delete Empty Cards

  1. From the main Anki screen, click on Tools in the top menu
  2. Select Empty Cards…
  3. A dialog will appear showing cards missing cloze deletions
  4. Click Delete to remove these problematic cards

This happens because sometimes when cards are updated, cloze numbering can change. For example, a card that previously had multiple different cloze numbers (c1, c2, c3, etc.) might now only have one type, leaving the other “cloze templates” with nothing to display.

If you continue to have issues with the AnKing MCAT deck after trying this solution, please let us know, and we can help troubleshoot further.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

From the looks of it, it seems that you have protected all of your fields:

This will necessarily prevent AnkiHub from being able to write to any of your fields, hence the cards are showing up empty.

In order for AnkiHub to be able to write to a given field, like the Text field, that field will have to be unprotected. This is likely the source of the issues you’re having

Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.
