I attempted unprotecting everything in anki hub and resetting local changes, but this did not work. I have been attempting to fix this for several hours. If anyone experienced something similar, I’d love to know what worked!

I see you’re having an issue with Cloze 2 not appearing on several AnKing MCAT cards, and you’ve already tried unprotecting fields and resetting local changes. This can be frustrating to troubleshoot!
Based on the screenshot and your description, here are some potential solutions:
Try the Empty Cards Tool first:
This issue often happens when a card is missing a cloze deletion. According to our FAQs:
- Go to Tools in Anki
- Click on Empty Cards
- Click Delete (leave the box ticked)
This removes cards that are missing required cloze deletions.
If that doesn’t work, try a more thorough reset:
-
Make sure you’ve properly unprotected all fields:
- In Browse view, select the problematic cards
- Click AnkiHub in the menu
- Select “Protect/Unprotect Fields”
- Make sure ALL fields are unprotected
-
Reset local changes:
- Go to Browse view
- Select AnkiHub in the menu
- Click “Reset All Local Changes”
- Select the specific deck containing the problem cards
- Click OK
-
Force a complete sync:
- After resetting local changes, try a full sync from AnkiHub
Additional troubleshooting:
- Check if you have any add-ons that might be interfering with cloze formatting
- Try checking if the specific note has any unusual formatting in the Text field
- Make sure you’re running the latest version of both Anki and the AnkiHub add-on
If these steps don’t resolve your issue, please provide more information about:
- Which specific cards are affected (note IDs or card names)
- Whether this happens with all AnkiHub decks or just the MCAT deck
- When the issue started occurring
Have you tried looking at the cards in the AnkiHub web app to see if the cloze deletions are properly formatted there?
Hello,
On Anki, go to the top left and find tools, then click on empty cards, then press delete
