Hi Farida,
I see you’re having trouble adding the AnKing deck to your AnkiDroid app. Based on information from our community, there’s an important limitation to be aware of:
AnkiHub requires a computer/laptop first.
As mentioned by our moderator in a related thread:
You’ll need a laptop/PC first to download the AnkiHub add-on and install decks
The AnkiHub add-on can only be installed on the desktop version of Anki, not directly on AnkiDroid. The typical workflow is:
- Install Anki desktop on a computer
- Install the AnkiHub add-on on your desktop Anki
- Subscribe to and download the AnKing deck through the desktop version
- Sync your Anki account
- Then access the deck on AnkiDroid through your AnkiWeb account
Unfortunately, there’s no way to install AnkiHub directly on AnkiDroid without first setting it up on a computer.
If you don’t have access to a laptop/PC, you might want to:
- Borrow a computer from a friend or use a public computer (library, etc.) to set up AnkiHub
- Consider using older versions of the AnKing deck that can be downloaded directly without AnkiHub (though these won’t receive updates)
Is there someone who could help you with the initial setup on a computer? Or do you have any other questions about this process?
