Hello, Iāve been having problems with a deck on Anki. The deckās name isnāt important, but instead of showing me the actual image, the cards display only the image link. My friends use the same deck and the images appear correctly for them. I already reset it to local changes and asked the maintainer for a media file, but he doesnāt have one.
Iām not sure if this would work, but I was thinking of deleting the deck and unsubscribing from AnkiHub, then subscribing and downloading it again to see if that fixes the issue. Do you think that could work?
It has a lot of flashcards and images so download one by one itās not an option.
It looks like youāre experiencing an issue with images not displaying in your AnkiHub deck. This is a common problem that can usually be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps.
First, check your media sync status:
Go to the AnkiHub add-on in Anki
Check what your media sync status says:
If it says āDownloadingā - Your media files are still being downloaded. Wait until it says āIdleā
If it says āIdleā - The sync should be complete
Try these solutions:
Reset your local changes (this is often the most effective solution):
Go to the Browse screen
Click on the AnkiHub add-on at the top
Select āReset local changesā
Choose your deck
Your idea to unsubscribe and resubscribe could work, but Iād try resetting local changes first as itās less disruptive.
Check your Anki media sync with AnkiWeb:
Make sure youāve fully synced with AnkiWeb
Tools > Check Media can help identify missing media files
Other things to verify:
Are you subscribed to the official version of the deck?
Do you have proper internet connectivity while syncing?
Is your AnkiHub add-on up to date?
If these steps donāt resolve your issue, you might want to check if the deck creator has properly uploaded all media files to AnkiHub, as this functionality is relatively new.
Let me know if these steps help or if you need further assistance!
You can try that, but it usually has the same effect as resetting local changes.
The best thing to do is to check this deck on the AnkiHub website. Try to find this card (or any other card with a broken image icon in Anki) and see if the image displays properly there. If itās working on the website, it means youāre facing an issue with your Anki setup, and we can investigate it further. However, if the image isnāt displaying correctly on the website, youāll have to get the media from somewhere else.
I found the card, along with many others that have the same problem, and the image does display. So maybe the issue is with my Anki setup, as you mentioned. How do you recommend I proceed?
