I see the issue you’re having with AnkiHub syncing. Based on your screenshot, it appears you’re getting stuck at the login confirmation screen for AnkiHub, and you’re unable to close it to continue.

Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart Anki

Close Anki completely and restart it. This simple step often resolves temporary issues with add-ons and syncing.

2. Reinstall the AnkiHub add-on

If restarting doesn’t work, try reinstalling the AnkiHub add-on:

  • Close Anki
  • Open Anki while holding down the Shift key (this starts Anki without loading add-ons)
  • Go to Tools > Add-ons
  • Select the AnkiHub add-on and delete it
  • Download and install the latest version from: AnkiHub add-on

3. Check your AnkiHub account

Make sure your AnkiHub account is properly set up:

  • Visit app.ankihub.net in your browser
  • Log in to confirm your account is active
  • Check if there are any notifications about account verification

4. Verify your internet connection

AnkiHub requires a stable internet connection to sync properly. Make sure you’re connected to the internet and that no firewall or security software is blocking Anki’s connection.

If these steps don’t resolve your issue, please provide additional information such as:

  • Your Anki version
  • Your operating system
  • Any error messages you see (beyond the login popup)

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

  • First things first, go ahead and cloze Anki.
  • Then, restart Anki while holding down the Shift key (this will load Anki in Safe Mode).
  • From there, if you can, within Anki go to your top menu bar. From there, click Anki - About Anki and check your version number.

You’ll want to make sure that you’re on 25.02. If it’s any other version, you’ll want to upgrade since older versions often run into little issues with add-ons.

You can always download the latest version of Anki at the official Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/

  • Once you’ve made sure you’re on 25.02 (or higher), start Anki again in Safe Mode. Go to your top menu bar: Tools - Add-ons - Check for Updates. Make sure that all of your add-ons are up to date.

Once all that is done, go ahead and log into AnkiHub.net, click on ‘Settings’ at the top:

And fill out the ‘Study Preferences’ tab:

From there, go ahead and re-open Anki as normal and see if you’re all set.

Give that a shot, let me know how you fare, and we’ll go from there and hopefully we can get you squared away.
