Hello! I can help you with your photo loading issue in AnkiHub. This is a common problem that can have several solutions.
Based on our community resources, here are some things to check:
Check Your Media Sync Status
- Open the AnkiHub add-on menu
- Check what the media sync status says:
- If it shows “Downloading” - your media hasn’t finished syncing yet. You may need to wait up to 60 minutes depending on your internet connection.
- If it shows “Idle” - the sync should be complete, but there might be other issues.
Other Troubleshooting Steps:
- Verify your subscription: Make sure you’re subscribed to the correct deck.
- Check protected fields: Some fields may not have images provided by AnkiHub. Check your protected fields in the advanced functionality guide.
- Reset local changes:
- Go to Browse
- Click on the AnkiHub add-on at the top
- Select “Reset local changes”
- Choose your deck from the list
Since the issue is happening on both desktop and AnkiDroid, it’s likely related to either the media sync not being complete or the subscription settings.
Let me know if these steps help or if you need additional assistance!
Hello,
On Anki’s main screen, go to AnkiHub and check if it says that media is “Idle” — this means the media download is complete on your computer. Media syncing can take a while, especially the first time — sometimes even hours — depending on your internet connection.
If it does say “Idle” and you’re still experiencing the issue, try resetting local changes by following this guide:
How to Reset Local Changes
It can take even longer for the media to be synced to AnkiWeb from your computer and then downloaded to your mobile device. You can click the Anki (not AnkiHub) sync button to check the current status of the media sync and see if it’s still in progress.
