Tags not syncing like another ankihub users

my friend has these tags shown on screenshot below but when i click on my tags i have the paid ankihub, i still dont get the cheesy dorian organized into any subdecks. plz help. is there any option for tags that i myt have turned off and dont know about? ive only turned off the fields sync for the first field thats all ive done.

What’s Happening

The tags you’re seeing in your friend’s screenshot (Cheesy Dorian organized into subcategories) are part of what AnkiHub calls “Optional Tag Groups.” These are separate tag structures that you need to specifically subscribe to - they don’t automatically come with the deck.

How to Fix It

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Find your AnKing Step Deck in AnkiHub
  2. Click the three dots in the top right
  3. Select “Manage Optional Tags”
  4. Look for the Cheesy Dorian optional tag group and check the box
  5. Click save
  6. Sync AnkiHub to update your collection

After syncing, you should be able to see these tags in your Anki browser under “AnkiHub_Optional” in the sidebar.

Where to Find the Tags After Subscribing

Once you’ve subscribed and synced:

  1. Go to Browse in Anki
  2. Look at the left sidebar
  3. You should see “AnkiHub_Optional” with the Cheesy Dorian tag structure

Yes, it is the case that Cheesy-Dorian tags are not included in the AnKing Step deck as they are quite old (and from a separate deck).

That your friend has them likely indicates that they inherited them from a different deck, or similar, unfortunately. I can’t be 100% sure, as I don’t have much insight into your friend’s collection, though for sure the Cheesy Dorian tags are not included in the Step deck which is why they’re not displaying on your end

Additionally from there, you mentioned subdecks though the image you shared appears to be a screenshot of tags. Just for clarity, the AnKing Step deck does not have any subdecks by default. Just to make sure we’re on the same page. :slight_smile:
