Hello Jaquelinessilveira! :waving_hand:

I see you’re interested in learning about the AI chatbot available on AnkiHub. I’m happy to provide you with information about this feature.

AnkiHub AI Chatbot

The AnkiHub AI chatbot is a premium feature that’s part of the AnkiHub Premium subscription. Here’s what you should know about it:

  • It’s built into the AnkiHub add-on (not a separate download)
  • It allows you to get expert answers to your questions about deck content
  • The chatbot can suggest flashcards based on your questions
  • It’s trained on the notes from the deck it’s enabled in to create answers to your questions

How to Use the AI Chatbot

There’s a detailed tutorial available that shows exactly how to use this feature:

Additional Information

  • The AI chatbot on the forum (separate from the in-app version) is trained to answer questions about documentation and wiki topics
  • There are usage limits for the AI feature to keep it affordable, but they’re designed to be generous for typical users
  • If you’re having trouble accessing the AI chatbot, ensure you have:
    • An active AnkiHub premium subscription
    • The latest version of the AnkiHub add-on
    • The latest version of Anki

Need More Help?

If you have specific questions about the AI chatbot or need further assistance with AnkiHub, feel free to ask! You can also check out the AnkiHub Premium FAQ for more information.

Hello,

The AI chatbot, First Aid, and Boards & Beyond features should appear in the bottom-right corner when you are studying your cards.

If you can’t see these features, please go to AnkiHub > Config on your Anki main screen and make sure the correct boxes are checked. Don’t forget to save any changes you make.

Just a quick reminder: To access these features, you need a Premium membership, as the Core subscription does not include them.

If you continue to experience this problem, please provide more details about the issue and send us some screenshots so we can investigate it further.

I’ll search for more specific information about why an AnkiHub AI chatbot might disappear.

Hello Jaquelinessilveira!

I see you’re experiencing an issue with your AnkiHub AI chatbot disappearing. Based on MarcosZan’s response and official documentation, here are some steps to help you get it back:

Why Your AnkiHub AI Chatbot Might Be Missing

The AI chatbot (along with First Aid and Boards & Beyond features) should appear in the bottom-right corner when you’re studying your cards. If it’s disappeared, here are some solutions:

1. Check Your Configuration Settings

As MarcosZan mentioned, go to AnkiHub > Config on your Anki main screen and make sure the correct boxes are checked for AI features:

  • Verify the AI options are enabled
  • Save any changes you make

2. Verify Your Prerequisites

According to the official documentation, ensure you have:

  • An active AnkiHub Premium subscription (Core subscription doesn’t include these features)
  • The latest version of the AnkiHub add-on
  • The latest version of Anki
  • You’re using a deck that has AI enabled (like the AnKing Step Deck)

3. Check Your Anki Version

Make sure you’re using the Qt6 version of Anki, not Qt5:

  1. In the Anki main screen, click “Anki” at the top left
  2. Click “About Anki”
  3. Verify you have the Qt6 version
  4. If not, download the latest version from https://apps.ankiweb.net/

4. Check Your Deck Settings

If the above doesn’t help:

  1. Go to the AnkiHub add-on
  2. Click “Deck Management”
  3. Select the deck that has AI enabled
  4. Click “Change Destination for New Cards”
  5. Select the correct deck and confirm

If you continue to experience problems after trying these steps, please provide more details about your setup and screenshots of what you’re seeing so the support team can assist you further.

Do any of these solutions help with your situation?
