How to add personal notes to the Anking cards without disturbing AnkiHub sync

I do not see the option to protect “additional questions” when I go to “manage protected field” in my ankihub.

Also, I would like to keep these changes that I make to my local anki. I do not wish to suggest changes for everyone else

Nothing will get suggested unless you click suggest a change so you don’t have to worry about other people seeing them. Only maintainers can accept / reject suggestions so even if you were to accidentally suggest a change it wouldn’t go through

Just to clarify, I will need to protect the lecture notes field in order to keep my personal notes from disappearing from the card?

Correct, but the lecture notes field is protected by default so you can add things there and they will never disappear

2a. How do I add a new field to all of ankicards? The purpose of this: There is a lot of information on the anking cards but usually only one question is asked. I would like to add more questions to prompt me to think about the other information on the card, however, I do not want to add it to “text” field and have it disappear, so I would like to add another field and protect it to have these additional questions.

You cannot currently add a field as it will mess up the ankihub sync, if you want to do this for certain cards, you can make that change you want then protect that card specifically.

I do this sometimes when I keep getting a card wrong, so I would add a hint or move things around, but protect that individual card so it doesn’t get overwritten

I will be adding images and graphics to the “lecture notes” field but would like these images to automatically show when I hit “Show answer” instead of me having to click the “lecture notes” field to view the images. How can I do this?
