Hello Frank4410,

Looking at your screenshots, I see the issue - the card content is different when you view it in AnkiHub versus what you have in Anki. This is a common scenario that happens when your local changes haven’t been properly synchronized with the AnkiHub server.

Why This Happens

When you make changes to an AnkiHub card locally in Anki, those changes remain local until you explicitly suggest them to the AnkiHub server. The “View on AnkiHub” button shows you the official version on the server - not your local modifications.

How to Fix This

To synchronize your local changes with AnkiHub:

  1. Suggest Your Changes to AnkiHub:

    • Edit the card in Anki
    • Click the “:crown: Suggest a change” button in the editor
    • Add a rationale for the change
    • Submit your suggestion
  2. Wait for Approval (if you’re not the deck maintainer):

    • Your suggestion needs to be approved by the deck maintainers
    • Once approved, the changes will appear on AnkiHub
  3. Submit Without Review (if you are the deck maintainer):

    • When suggesting changes, select the “Submit without review” option
    • This will immediately update the card on AnkiHub

If You Don’t Want to Keep Your Changes

If you prefer to revert your local changes and match what’s on AnkiHub:

  1. Reset Local Changes:

    • Right-click on the card in Anki’s browser
    • Select “AnkiHub: Reset Local Changes”
    • Click OK
  2. For the Entire Deck:

    • Go to Browse in Anki
    • Click on “AnkiHub” in the top menu
    • Select “Reset all local changes to a deck”
    • Choose the deck you want to reset

Important Note on Note Types

Make sure you’re using an AnkiHub-compatible note type (usually has a name like “DeckName (Username)”). If you’re using an incompatible note type, you won’t be able to suggest changes properly.
